Emergency
Relief Aid
This is an intensive life preserving response to a child
in mortal danger. It includes but is not limited to providing
emergency medical care, food, clean water and safe shelter.
These children are:
-
Very
sick and lack the necessary medical assistance.
-
Starving to death.
-
Suffering the effects of a disaster; man-made or
natural.
-
Unwanted
babies or babies born in life-threatening unhygienic conditions.
Most have
been abandoned or have no adult guardian due to parental
death. Death from HIV AIDS is the leading cause of
children becoming orphans.

These children are not in acute life-threatening conditions, but
live a desperately
poor, undignified life.
These
children:
-
Are
homeless and wear rags for protection.
-
Dig
in dumpsters for food, most of which would make you
nauseous.
-
Drink
contaminated water to quench their thirst.
-
Are
frequently sick but have inadequate medical care.
-
Are
crippled or otherwise handicapped.
-
Need
surgery to correct debilitating deformities.
-
Lack
the necessary basics to attend school.
Again, most are
all alone or in the care of feeble elderly guardians.
Many are caring for younger siblings or sick,
dying parents
without adult guidance.

Older
children who are unable to receive higher education are taught a
trade or marketable skill (vocation training) that will
help them earn a decent living. These programs also benefit
the adults who lovingly take disadvantaged children into
their care regardless of their own minimal income. The
programs vary in
accordance to the needs of the community.
Our
goal is to break the cycle of poverty and dependence
while creating a self-reliant individual who contributes
to the well being of the community.

Please help us carry out these missions of mercy!
